This unique course invites you to embark on a journey toward greater wellbeing, balance, engagement and control in your life.

The MBSR was developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn in 1979, and initially it has been offered to people who suffered from chronic pain. Once studies have shown that it was effective in reducing pain, it was trialled with numerous other physical and psychological conditions, including stress.

Since it was launched, thousands of people have taken the eight-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course all over the globe and have seen great benefits: they learned how to use their mind to respond more effectively to stress, pain, and illness.

Fourty years of research on MBSR indicates that the training not only helps in decreasing pain, stress, depression, anxiety, sleeping problems, fatigue and other problems, but also improves wellbeing, happiness, energy, self esteem, and self control.

Mindfulness is a way of relating to reality – whatever is happening in your life in this moment. It is a way of engaging with life more intently, and turning off our automatic pilot, while at the same time being able to observe your own mind and be less emotionally attached to our perceptions and emotions. This level of cognitive engagement and emotional detachment can help you emain calm and in control under duress.

The mindfulness-based stress reduction programme offers you a method through which you can train yourself to become more engaged and less negatively affected by that engagement.

In this course we offer participants a space where they can develop their mindfulness skills. The course includes mindfulness meditation practice, gentle yoga exercises, group discussions aimed at enhancing awareness, individually instruction, and daily guided meditation practice (requiring 40 minutes meditation practice per day).

The course is interactive, dynamic, thought provoking, and practical – as it is geared to develop mindfulness required for effective performance.

Course lengths: 8 weekly sessions, 2 hours each.
No of participants: 10-20.
